Sourcing

Ethical Gemstones

Each gemstone Lackadazee uses is either reclaimed, vintage, lab created or sourced from a small list of trusted, responsible mines.

Our primary source for gemstones come from sources that specialize in reclaimed, vintage and antique gemstones.

While we love utilizing reclaimed gemstones, we also support mines that prioritize safe working conditions, fair wages, the health of the community and responsible mining practices (no usage of explosives, strip mining, etc.).

We strive to offer as much information as possible on each gemstone we use to create our special pieces.

Sourcing

Precious Metals

Each Lackadazee product is crafted from the highest quality, consciously sourced precious metals available.

We exclusively use American sourced, post consumer recycled 14k+ gold and argentium silver. Most of our items are also nickel-free.

To create items that last a lifetime,
Lackadazee does not offer gold fill or gold plated items.

Impact

The Community

Lackadazee is more than the products we create. Besides supporting local non-profits, check out some of our favorite ways we build community.

Earth Day: Each year we close our store for a volunteer day aimed at improving our neighborhood.

Repair Don't Replace: At this yearly event, we accept any non-Lackadazee jewelry for repairs, resizing, cleaning and more! Our goal is to reduce waste by fixing what already exists.

Clothing Swap: We moved! This event is temporarily postponed while we figure out the best way to incorporate it into our new space.

Lackadazee's packaging is sourced as responsibly as possible.

All items (including shopping bags, tissue paper, shipping items, etc.) are crafted from 100% post consumer recycled materials.

All printed items (care cards, business cards, etc.) are printed using soy & vegetable inks by a certified FSC & B Corp.

Have some of our packaging lying around? Drop it back off at our store! We will reuse or responsibly dispose of any returned materials.

Location

Store & Studio

Sustainability is more than a trendy word at Lackadazee, it is a way of life for our team.

Most furnishings & fixtures in our store & studio have been sourced secondhand, repurposed or locally crafted using reclaimed lumber by our friends at Saw Whet Hardwoods.

We believe in using what already exists and strive to repurpose, reuse and repair whenever possible.
